Salary $60,863.53 - $79,145.05 // This position is a full-time position that totals 40 hours per week and may include weekend and evening hours. Responsibilities Include:
Performs difficult professional work providing various library services and assisting the Director. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Library Director.
Performs work by coordinating staff and volunteers, library workflow, assisting with programs and activities, developing library services and marketing strategies, assisting with acquisitions, and creating reports, developing policies and procedures, conducting long-term planning, and related work as apparent or assigned.
Participates as member of the library oversight team with Director and Program Coordinator. Develops and implements public relations strategies. Assists with acquiring, cataloging, organizing, developing, and promoting the collection.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of modern library operation; library reference and other library services; thorough knowledge of library system computer applications; thorough knowledge of the standard cataloging systems used in a library system; ability to operate standard office equipment and related hardware and software; ability to learn specialized software or systems related to business need; ability to generate applicable records, reports and files; ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment; ability to communicate ideas effectively both orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with library patrons, associates and the general public.
Thorough knowledge of mobile electronic devices; thorough knowledge of audio-visual equipment; thorough knowledge of media production software; ability to operate standard office equipment and related hardware and software.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience working as a librarian, or equivalent combination of education and experience in public library services. Preferred MLIS.

- Valid Drivers License.
