Take a walk with Luke and Linda and learn about collecting and preparing traditional foods and medicine. We will meet at the library, head out for a walk in nature to learn, and then return to the library to talk about our individual next steps as we think about food sovereignty.
Luke and Linda Black Elk are food sovereignty activists and teachers of traditional plant use, gardening, food preservation, and foraging. They spend their time collecting and preparing traditional foods and medicines for Indigenous peoples and communities in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and beyond.
