The City of East Grand Forks will close access to 23rd Street NW due to deteriorating road conditions resulting from recent spring snow melts.
Last fall, the City undertook Phase I of a major overhaul to 23rd Street that will result in the road being a fully urbanized street complete with new paving, curb and gutter, and a connecting sidewalk. Phase II of the project, which will complete the final concrete work, will be completed in 2010. The reopening of 23rd Street is contingent upon both weather conditions and construction schedules throughout the year. The City will provide further updates as more information is available.
