[ARCHIVED] 4th Street NW likely to close early Tuesday

River expected to reach 35 feet by Tuesday morning

The City expects to close a portion of 4th Street NW sometime early Tuesday morning. According to the City's Action Plan, water appears at the underpass of Highway 2/Gateway Drive at a river level of 35 feet. The National Weather Service predicts that the river will reach 35 feet sometime before 7am on Tuesday morning. When this occurs, 4th Street NW /River Road NW will be inaccessible between 5th Ave NW in the downtown area and 17th Street NW in the north end.
