[ARCHIVED] Overland flooding causes backups in City's North End

Residents affected by flooding should contact City Hall to file an incident report

Some residents north of 23rd Street NW experienced sewer backups into their basements as a result of overland flooding from adjacent fields in the area that overwhelmed the city's storm water system. The runoff entered the sewer system and into some basements in the Water's Edge area of the City near the Valley Golf Course. The City is continuing to pump water from the area, and crews will work around the clock to keep the area contained. Contractors will construct small berms in the area to keep additional runoff from occurring.

Residents affected by basement flooding should fill out the attached incident report or contact City Hall to file an incident report at (218) 773-2483 or admin@eastgrandforks.net.
