Thank you for considering East Grand Forks Campbell Library for your donation! We use donations to enhance services, programs, and our collection.
Book Donations
We accept new and gently used donated books and resources that meet the requirements outlined in our donation policy [PDF]. Damaged items cannot be accepted.
- EGFCL does not evaluate or appraise gift materials for tax purposes.
- EGFCL will retain unconditional ownership of any gift or donation.
- EGFCL makes the final decision on the use or other disposition of the gift or donation and reserves the right to decide the conditions of display, housing, and access to the materials.
- Items that are not added to the collections are given to the Friends of the Campbell Library.
Donation Policy

We will accept:
- Gently used hardcover and paperback fiction books
- Nonfiction books that are no older than 5 years old
- Gently used children’s books
- DVDs and books on CD
- Materials about the Red River Valley
We are unable to accept:
- Textbooks
- Magazines
- Reader’s Digest Condensed books
- Encyclopedias
- Any material that is damaged, including, but not limited to:
- Mold or mildew
- Yellowed or missing pages
- Broken spines or binding
- Water or smoke damage
The East Grand Forks Campbell Library will retain unconditional ownership of any gift or donation. EGFCL makes the final decision on the use or other disposition of the gift or donation and reserves the right to decide the conditions of display, housing, and access to the materials.
Replace a Lost or Damaged Item
If you want to donate a hard-to-find item or replace a lost or damaged item, see our Amazon Wishlists.
- Wish List Items can be purchased from any store, vendor, or seller.
- Replacement items must be in new condition.

The Library Needs List is an opportunity to support the library by donating specific, higher need items to the collection or the funds to purchase those items. This list will be updated regularly, so please check back often!

Monetary Gifts:
- Monetary donations to the Friends of the Library and the Campbell Literacy Endowment directly support library programs, materials, and services in a real and meaningful way!
- Monetary gifts to the collection are welcome and may be designated as memorials.
- Donors of the funds may suggest subjects or titles to be acquired with their donation, but EGFCL reserves the right of final decision.
Campbell Literacy Endowment:
The Friends of the Campbell Library has established an endowment with the Community Foundation of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks and Region (Community Foundation) to ensure there would always be funds available to provide services to the public and invest in literacy materials. This endowment allows the Friends of the Library as a non-profit to build for the future, insuring that the good work of the Friends will continue. Anyone can show support by donating to the Literacy Endowment through the Community Foundation. Each donation will be added to permanently support a growing fund.
